General Chapter of Dominican Order September 1st to 21st 2010 in Rome

Regular readers of this blog will be aware of the General Chapter of the Dominican Order which begins in Rome tomorrow, September 1st 2010. The General Chapter, which is the highest authority in the Dominican Order, is an assembly of friars representing the Provinces of the Order, coming together to discuss and define matters pertaining to the good of the entire Order. This Chapter will also elect a new Master General of the Order next Sunday, September 5th.
