The Irish Dominican friars have 19 men in initial formation at the beginning of the academic year 2013-14. 18 of them are pictured above. One of the brothers in formation, Stephen Cummins OP, was unavoidably absent due to a prior preaching commitment.

The above picture was taken at Saint Mary's priory in Cork this past weekend after we had celebrated the reception of two men into our novitiate and the first profession of four of our brothers.

Our brothers come from a variety of different backgrounds and professions. Among our brothers in formation are a pharmacist, teacher, publican, nurse, engineer, accountant, lecturer and a historian - to name but a few!

If you are interested in joining these 19 men who have a deep passion for the Dominican mission of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, then why not make contact with us?

or email the vocations director fr Gerard Dunne OP at frgd@eircom.net
